Meet LGIAsuper Community Volunteer Award Finalist, Madison

The Queensland Young Achiever Awards is just weeks away. Today, we profile our fourth finalist, 17-year-old Madison Birtchnell of Willow Vale.

Meet Madison Birtchnell

She might be only 17 but Madison Birtchnell has been volunteering for an incredible 11 years!

Madison raised $1,000 for Ovarian Cancer Australia by organising an International Women’s Week Conference for 150 people. She also sourced thousands of dollars to organise a youth mental health day for 500 students at her school which raised $1,200 for headspace and Beyond Blue.

Madison supports many social justice initiatives and is a volunteer at Ormiston House.

LGIAsuper would like to wish all of this year’s finalists the best of luck. We can’t wait to celebrate the achievements of our state’s youth on Friday 4 May 2018.
