Remembering Andrew Cormie

A message from the Chair

It is with great sadness that I write about the sudden and unexpected loss of Andrew Cormie, a valued advisor to our Investment Committee for over seven years. On behalf of the Investment Committee, the Board and the team at Brighter Super, we will all deeply miss Andrew.

Since 2017, Andrew has been instrumental in LGIAsuper's transition and growth into Brighter Super. His expertise and insights not only enhanced our investment strategies but also left a lasting impact on us. Andrew was known around the world as a consummate investor, and we were privileged he shared his insights and 'outside in' thinking with us, for the betterment of Brighter Super's members.

Aside from his professional contributions, Andrew was a friend and a mentor to many within our team. In every interaction, Andrew embodied expertise paired with a personal touch that made him both a respected advisor and a cherished friend.

Our thoughts are with Andrew's family and loved ones at this difficult time. We share in their sadness and extend our deepest condolences.

Andrew’s legacy of professionalism, insight, kindness, and integrity will continue to live on within Brighter Super. We are committed to honouring his memory by continuing our pursuit of excellence with the same qualities that Andrew exemplified.
