Review of LGIAsuper’s first Annual Members Meeting

LGIAsuper held its first-ever Annual Members Meeting last November at Brisbane City Hall. We would like to thank all our members who attended the meeting.

Our leadership team gave presentations on last year’s growth and performance, and our investment strategy for 2020 and beyond. They answered questions from members on a broad range of topics throughout the meeting.

Members were also able to meet our wider team in the exhibition area for more in-depth discussions. This area included booths for LGIAsuper’s Investment and Advice teams, a Super Health Check service, and our partners from LGMA Queensland and TAL Insurance.

LGIAsuper CEO Kate Farrar said the Annual Members Meeting was a great success and gave members a useful update on how LGIAsuper is taking care of their retirement savings.

“Our members trust us with one of their most significant assets, so maintaining our integrity and transparency is extremely important,” Kate said. “I am also incredibly proud of what our fund has achieved for members over the last 12 months, and the meeting was a good opportunity to showcase some of these efforts.

“We have worked very hard to harness global knowledge and innovations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.

“We have entered into significant new partnerships that will help us to improve our services, grow our returns, and succeed in the ever-changing landscape in which we operate. It is all part of our mission to deliver the best possible value to our members.

“Our first-ever Annual Members Meeting marks a significant milestone in the fund’s 54-year history, and I look forward to welcoming more members to our next meeting in 2020.”
